Barcelona and Qatar Sports Qatar Airways announced an agreement will be the new shirt sponsor FC Barcelona team, for the season 2013-14. The agreement was signed on Friday (11/16/2012) and then, a part of the contract signed by Barca and Qatar Sports in 2011. Qatar Airlines replaced the Qatar Foundation as the primary sponsor on the jersey of Barcelona."Qatar Airlines is an ambitious brand with global aspirations, has always been committed to achieving excellence in its field maximum, the same mission that makes the relationship more closely club and Qatar," said FC Barcelona President Sandro Rosell, as quoted Soccerex
"After a very good relationship with the Qatar Foundation and fantastic, we are very pleased to be able to continue to work together and welcome them as our partner," he continued.
The same was said by the Qatar Airways, Akbar Al Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways
"We are very pleased to form this alliance with FC Barcelona, the biggest football club in the world. Qatar Airways has been chosen as the Best Airline in the World for two consecutive years (2011 and 2012) and will work with FC Barcelona in the activities that will be of benefit both to fans and passengers, "he said.

Contract between Barcelona and Qatar Sports will run for six years, and is worth about 177 million euros.
